Enumclaw’s Justin Grennan will highlight Rock the Green concert

The public is invited to attend the Rock the Green annual benefit concert at Kanaskat-Palmer State Park near Enumclaw.

The event runs from noon to 8 p.m. Aug. 13. Live music, guided hikes, native plant education and more provide entertainment for the whole family and a silent auction in support of the Middle Green River Coalition features donated items. Food will be available for purchase and a beer garden will be open to participants 21 and older. Admission is free and a Discover Pass is not required for those attending the event.

Headlining Rock the Green is Enumclaw native Justin Grennan, best known for his participation in the 2011 debut season of NBC’s television show, “The Voice,” a reality talent show. There will also be performances by local bands Night Train, Plateau, Inside Out and Backwards, Max Renshaw and Howling Rain.

Rock the Green is a benefit event for the Middle Green River Coalition, with all proceeds going toward the protection of the middle Green River and its tributaries.

The Middle Green River Coalition protects and enhances open spaces in the Middle Green River watershed to ensure long-term habitat health and recreation opportunities.
