Families enjoyed a warm fall afternoon with East Pierce Fire and Rescue last weekend.

East Pierce Fire and Rescue’s 24th annual Open House was greeted by an unusually warm fall afternoon, as well as gaggles of kids eager to try their hands at aiming a fire hose, check out modern and vintage firefighter and EMS equipment, watch a live medic helicopter land and a car be pried apart with the Jaws of Life, and much more.

Parents were also able to purchase safety equipment like bike helmets, life jackets, and even flu shots to keep them and their kids healthy and safe.
