Malidores celebrate golden anniversary

After a two-year courtship, the couple tied the knot on October 28, 1971, in Portland, Oregon.

Congratulations to Gary and Sherry Malidore on their Golden 50th Wedding Anniversary!

After a two-year courtship, the couple tied the knot on October 28, 1971, in Portland, Oregon, witnessed by Nancy Hall, Randy Green, and family at the Multnomah County Courthouse. The reception celebration was held on November 13 at the Moose Lodge in Enumclaw.

After graduating from Enumclaw High School, Gary and Sherry decided to live on the outskirts of their hometown where their children, Leona and Kyle, were born, raised, and graduated from Enumclaw High.

Gary started his career at the Enumclaw School bus garage as a mechanic with his father, Ronald Malidore. He worked as a Gas Deisel Mechanic for Weyerhaeuser (26 years) and later the King County Solid Waste Division (13 years). Gary now enjoys retirement.

Sherry worked in Banquet Customer Services for 42 years. Beginning at Tacoma Bicentennial Pavillion, Best Westerns Executive Inn in Fife, Rick Rings also later known as Basil’s Kitchen in Tukwila. Since the Pandemic of 2020 ended her career, Sherry spends time at home with family and friends. Also catching up on long-awaited hobbies.
