ManeStage to open season with “Huckleberry Finn”

The tale of adventure and friendship will be performed by a talented group of 15 experienced, local storytellers including Bryce Smith as Huck Finn, Brandon Mitchell as Jim and Jonathan Fowles as Tom Sawyer.

Sumner’s ManeStage Theatre Company will open its sixth season with a production of “The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.”

The tale of adventure and friendship will be performed by a talented group of 15 experienced, local storytellers including Bryce Smith as Huck Finn, Brandon Mitchell as Jim and Jonathan Fowles as Tom Sawyer.

Relive the great riverboat days of the Mississippi in this new adaptation of Mark Twain’s timeless novel.

“The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn” will open at 7 p.m. Sept. 15 at the Sumner Performing Arts Center, 1707 Main St. in Sumner. Additional performances are scheduled for 2pm Sept. 16, and the following at 7 p.m. Sept. 21, 2 and 7 p.m. Sept. 22 and 2 p.m. Sept. 23.

The show is directed by Jay Henson. The costumers are Judy Brooks and Jodi Josephson.

Tickets are $18 for general admission, $15 for students, seniors (55+) and military and $10 for children 10 and under.  Please no children under 3 or babes in arms.
