ManeStage’s production of ‘The Wizard of Oz’ begins stagings in February

Starring Brittney Stout as Dorothy , Timothy B. Lott as The Wizard of Oz, Tyler Rogers as the Scarecrow, Bryce Smith as the Tin Man, Brandon Mitchell as the Cowardly Lion and Lynn Pratt as the Wicked Witch of the West.

 

ManeStage Theatre Company will continue its’ fifth season with The Wizard of Oz.  The Wizard of Oz will be performed by a cast of more than 55 experienced local artists. Starring Brittney Stout as Dorothy , Timothy B. Lott as The Wizard of Oz, Tyler Rogers as the Scarecrow, Bryce Smith as the Tin Man, Brandon Mitchell as the Cowardly Lion and Lynn Pratt as the Wicked Witch of the West. Manestage called the musical “a treat for the whole family.”  Journey down the yellow brick road and rediscover the magical land of Oz.  An opportunity to take photos with the costumed cast will be available after the show.

The Wizard of Oz will open Feb. 4 at the Sumner Performing Arts Center located at 1707 Main Street, Sumner, Washington.  Performances are scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 4 at 7 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 5 at 2 p.m., and the following weekends on Friday, Feb. 10 at 7 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 11 at 7 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 12 at 2 p.m., Friday, Feb. 17 at 7 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 18 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. and closes Sunday, Feb. 19 at 2 p.m.

The show is directed by Jay Henson and choreographed by ManeStage Theatre Company Executive Director Brenda S. Henson.  The costumers are Judy Brooks and Jodi Josephson, the music director is Lindsay Delmarter.
