Paintings by Enumclaw artist Helma Raycher and her students will be on display at the Green River Community College Enumclaw Campus gallery through Aug. 27.
According to city of Enumclaw Cultural Programs Manager Gary LaTurner, Raycher has a wonderful painting background and has the ability to inspire others. The student work in the exhibit is highly professional. Many of her students have years of experience, but take advantage of Raycher as a valued local resource.
The works of art are produced in oil and acrylic paints. Each artist has a different interest in subject-matter as well as painting style. Raycher encourages the creative interests of each individual and helps them capitalize on their personal painting strengths.
A reception to meet the artists is set for 6 to 8 p.m. June 3. Light refreshments will be served.
Students and local artists, along with their pieces, included in this exhibit are: Raycher, Wildflower and Hop’s Harvest; Teresa Lichtenfels, Elephant and Lion King; Ingrid Toennies, Crazy Quilt and Oldtimers; June Hebert, Goldfish and Young Girl; Payette, Mouse and Sunflower; Michael Tripp, Moonfish and Chinese Pot with Brushes; Wendy Ashley, Maegan and The Rooster; Suzanne Popp, Provisions Timbucktoo and Ready for Breakfast.
