ABANDONED DOG: Police took a call July 23 regarding an abandoned dog at a River Avenue location. They found someone had tied the dog to a post and left it with food, water and a blanket. The dog was transported to the city kennel.

IN PURSUIT: Officers were dispatched the evening of July 22 to a Hinkleman Road address, where a vehicle had arrived at a high rate of speed. The driver then fled on foot. It was learned the vehicle had been involved in a hit-and-run incident, followed by a pursuit, in Bonney Lake. Officers searched the area, then called upon the services of a police tracking dog. The driver could not be located. The vehicle was impounded.

DOMESTIC INCIDENT: A reported domestic incident had police responding the evening of July 21 to a River Avenue apartment. They encountered aq man who was in violation of a no-contact order; he was arrested and booked into jail both for violation the order and for damaging property.

DRUNK DRIVER: Shortly before 1 a.m. July 20, officers stopped a vehicle for multiple traffic violations. The driver, a Wilkeson man, was intoxicated; he was placed under arrest and booked into the Enumclaw jail.

ENUMCLAW ASSIST: A Buckley officer was dispatched the evening of July 20 to an Enumclaw address to assist Enumclaw police with a reported disturbance involving firearms. Police gathered at a Griffin Avenue location, where two people were taken into custody for a residential burglary that occurred in King County.

TO THE HOSPITAL: At approximately 9 p.m. July 20, officers were dispatched to a River Avenue address to check on the welfare of a man. They found the subject intoxicated and holding a bottle of liquor. Police confiscated the alcohol and issued the man a citation for violation open-container laws. He was then taken to a hospital to be evaluated, due to his level of intoxication.

NEEDING ASSISTANCE: Officers were dispatched at 5:49 p.m. July 19 to a Ryan Road address where a woman was in need of assistance. It was determined she was a client of Rainier School; she was returned to the facility without incident.

OFF TO FIFE: Officers contacted a Buckley woman just before midnight July 18 as she walked in the roadway in the vicinity of Jefferson Avenue and state Route 410. She was found to be wanted on a warrant issued by the city of Fife; she was transported to Fife where she was booked without incident.
