The National Council on Aging has created the Aging Mastery Program, which will be offered at no cost. It is the same AMP series that was offered in Enumclaw this spring.

The goal of this program is to empower older adults to make and maintain small but impactful changes. Classes will explore navigating longer lives, physical activity, sleep, healthy eating and hydration, financial fitness, medication management, advanced planning, healthy relationships, falls prevention and community engagement.

For each of the classes, basic educational materials will be provided, along with a checklist of potential next steps and a system for tracking behavior.

The program will run from 2:30 to 4 p.m. each Monday, Sept. 12 through Nov. 14.

Anyone interested in registering for the program can call the senior center at 360-829- 0190 or stop by 811 Main St. For more information, visit the NCOA website for AMP.
