Application received for Veterans Memorial Drive improvement | Bonney Lake

The City of Bonney Lake received an application from the Bonney Lake Public Works Department for State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) review of the SR 410 – Veterans Memorial Drive Intersection Improvements.

The City of Bonney Lake received an application from the Bonney Lake Public Works Department for State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) review of the SR 410 – Veterans Memorial Drive Intersection Improvements.

The project will make improvements to the SR 410 East and Veterans Memorial Drive by adding a second left turn lane east bound on SR 401 East. The improvements will also increase the number of lanes on Veterans Memorial Drive from three to five, matching previous widening that occurred in 2007. Storm line improvements will occur as will the undergrounding of utilities, additional sidewalks with corresponding bicycle lane and street lighting.

Site Location: The project site is located within S 32 & 33, T 20 N, R 05 E, W.M., beginning at milepost 13.14 and ending at milepost 13.47, within the SR 410 East and Veterans Memorial Drive East intersection, within the incorporated limits of Bonney Lake, WA.

Adoption of Existing Environmental Documents: The City of Bonney Lake reviewed the NEPA documents associated with the proposal and has determined that those documents meet the City of Bonney Lake environmental review standards and needs for the above described proposal. The City of Bonney Lake is adopting these document pursuant to WAC 197.11.630.

Environmental Review: The lead agency has determined that the proposed action will likely have no probable significant adverse impact on the environment. An environmental impact statement (EIS) is not required under RCW 43.21C.030(2)(c). A threshold determination is being issued under the optional DNS process contained in WAC 197-11-355.

The threshold determination may be appealed to the City of Bonney Lake Hearing Examiner. Please refer to BLMC 14.120.040 for appeal procedures. A complete appeal application and fee shall be received by the Community Development Department prior to the close of business April 6, 2015.
