Bike stolen and returned by officer | Buckley Police

On July 14, officers spoke with a 9-year-old Buckley boy who reported his bicycle had been stolen from a River Avenue location.

BIKE STOLEN, RETURNED: On July 14, officers spoke with a 9-year-old Buckley boy who reported his bicycle had been stolen from a River Avenue location. A few hours later, a 12-year-old told police the bicycle was being used at the city skate park. Officers contacted a 19-year-old who admitted to stealing the bicycle. The Buckley man was arrested, issued a criminal citation and booked into the Enumclaw jail. The bike was returned to its owner.

WALKED AWAY: Officers were dispatched the evening of July 14 to Rainier School, where a male client had walked off the grounds. The barefoot man was found walking on a nearby road; he was escorted back to Rainier School and turned over to staff.

DRIVER CITED: Officers watched at 1:52 a.m. July 13 as a driver committed a traffic violation on state Route 410. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was found to be impaired. The Black Diamond man was charged with driving under the influence.
