Black Diamond police blotter | Dec. 14 – 19

A CPR-in-progress, a car that lost a tire, and a homicide investigation in Issaquah.

Dec. 19

– City officers responded at 10:30 p.m. to assist Enumclaw police who were dealing with a traffic collision in the 200 block of Peterson Drive. After a suspect was arrested for DUI the Black Diamond officers returned home.

– Police stopped a vehicle at 12:36 a.m. in the 29700 block of 224th Avenue Southeast. The traffic stop was due to an expired registration but a subsequent investigation revealed that the driver had a suspended license and the vehicle was displaying a counterfeit trip permit. The driver was cited and released at the scene and the vehicle was impounded.

– At 12:15 a.m. police arrived at the scene of a disabled vehicle in the 30400 block of Third Avenue. A passenger in the vehicle was found to be wanted on an arrest warrant issued by the Federal Way Police Department. Once the warrant was confirmed the suspect was transported and booked into the Kent jail.

Dec. 18

– A complaint was lodged by someone at a local business who reported that juveniles were skateboarding where they were not allowed. An officer responded, asked the skateboarders to move along and they complied.

Dec. 17

– Police were dispatched to a Morgan Street location after hearing that a no-contact order was being violated. Officers arrived and arrested a female for the violation, which stemmed from a domestic violence incident. She was booked into the Enumclaw jail.

– Officers were asked to check on the welfare of an individual at a Third Avenue location. The report was changed to a “CPR in progress” call and, after arriving, police assisted the patient until fire department personnel arrived and took over care. The patient was transported from the scene by the fire department.

Dec. 16

– After taking a report of a disabled vehicle that was blocking traffic, police responded to the 26400 block of Southeast Green River Gorge Road. An officer found the vehicle had lost a tire and was waiting for a tow truck to arrive. The officer provided traffic control until the vehicle was loaded onto the truck.

– After hearing that a no-contact order was being violated, an officer responded to the 30200 block of 224th Avenue Southeast. It was confirmed that the court order was being violated and a criminal citation was issued.

Dec. 14

– City officers responded to assist the Issaquah Police Department with a homicide investigation. All reports and documents remained with Issaquah authorities.

– An officer was dispatched at 11 a.m. to a reported burglary in the 32700 block of Ash Avenue Southeast. It was determined that uninstalled cabinets had been stolen from a garage. There was no sign of forced entry and no witnesses.
