Black Diamond police reports Sept. 8-16

MARIJUANA: A vehicle was stopped Sept. 16 for a traffic violation in the 31600 block of Third Avenue. Through a routine check, the officer found the vehicle’s license tabs were expired. As the officer was speaking with the driver, a 43-year-old man, he could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The driver handed over marijuana and paraphernalia. He was cited expired tabs, no vehicle insurance and possession of both marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

MALICIOUS MISCHIEF: Officers were dispatched at approximately 6:30 p.m. Sept. 10 to a report of malicious mischief in the 25200 block of Cumberland Place. The homeowner said someone had shot a BB or pellet into the top floor window of the residence from a nearby wooded area.

DOMESTIC SITUATION: At approximately 10 p.m. Sept. 8, officers were dispatched to a domestic dispute that had turned physical in the 25400 block of Palmer Place. Officers arrested a 19-year-old man for assaulting his two siblings. The suspect was booked into the Buckley jail for fourth-degree assault/domestic violence.
