Boy Scouts host dinner and auction Friday

Boy Scout Troop 422 of Enumclaw, is holding their fifth annual Troop Dinner and Auction on Friday, March 11, beginning at 6 p.m. at the Enumclaw Expo Center, Pete's Pool. Cost for the evening is $5 and includes dinner, beverages and an auction card.

A dessert auction will follow with creations available for bidding.

Highlights of the live auction include a pair of white water rafting tickets with Blue Sky Outfitters.

Proceeds from the auction will support the troop’s monthly outdoor trips, summer camp and activities.

Troop 422 was established in Enumclaw in 1937. Today, there are more than 30 boys ranging from fifth grade to high school seniors involved. This past year the Troop had several boys earn their Eagle Scout rank providing valuable community service projects for the Enumclaw area.

The Troop’s recent activities include: camping nearly year round; canoeing the Boundary Waters region of Minnesota; and snow camping at Paradise on Mount Rainier. The Troop also volunteers for a variety of service projects in and around the Enumclaw area, including raising and lowering the flags that fly on Memorial Day at the Enumclaw Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
