Multiple corrections and a trial update

CORRECTION OF A CORRECTION: We were provided incorrect information about an Enumclaw High reunion for a correction in last week’s Briefly. Here’s the corrected correct information: An “Over 50” year class reunion for Enumclaw High graduates is being hosted on Aug. 10 in the school commons, starting at 11:30 a.m. Anyone who has attended or graduated, from 1973 on down, is invited to attend; please bring food for the potluck.

COMMUNITY CENTER CORRECTION: In the article “Enumclaw provides updated Community Center bond, property tax estimates”, published July 26, we reported old information about the estimated cost of a new community center; the estimate has been updated from $14 million to $21.5 million, though the city of Enumclaw hopes a bond measure will only ask for $19 million. The online article has been updated.

TIP CORRECTION: In the article, “What is Enumclaw planning for its streets? City updates its Transportation Improvement Plan”, published July 26, we incorrectly labeled some projects as completed instead of underway, or vice versa. The Harding Street from McHugh Avenue project is actually completed; the project from 244th Avenue from Griffin Avenue to the city limits (mislabeled as 244th from Griffin to the city limits) is underway; and the Roosevelt Ave./244th Ave. roundabout project is near Moose Lodge, not Country Animal Hospital. The online article has been updated.

TRIAL UPDATE: The competency hearing for Donald Linder, accused of possessing an illegal firearm and explosives, has been rescheduled from July 27 to Aug. 1.
