A “self-publishing” seminar, and a correction.

LEGISLATIVE ROUNDUP CORRECTIONS: Last week’s summary of bills filed by local legislators (“What Plateau legislators are pursuing this year in Olympia”, published Feb. 1) included two errors. First, Black Diamond is not part of District 31; the district extends through the Enumclaw, Buckley, Bonney Lake and Auburn areas. Second, Rep. Robertson’s bill on police chases, co-sponsored with Rep. Alicia Rule, is HB 1363, not HB 1053, as we reported. We regret the errors.

WANT TO SELF-PUBLISH A BOOK?: Local authors James Peet, Leah Cutter and Blaze Ward are hosting a session on how to self-publish at Cole Street Brewery next Thursday, Feb. 16, starting at 6 p.m. The seminar will cover topics ranging from what software to use, how to format your books for different vendors, and how to market yourself for success. This is a 21-plus event.
