A correction, clarification, and sentencing update.

SENTENCING UPDATE: Aaron Lincoln, who was recently found guilty of assaulting local quarry workers with a deadly weapon in the summer of 2022, had his sentencing date moved from Jan. 5 to March 15.

CORRECTION: In the article, “Black Diamond license plate readers help recover four vehicles, assist in homicide investigation,” published Oct. 25, the Courier-Herald incorrectly reported that the city had only used the Flock Safety Automatic License Plate Reader cameras for 30 days; at that point, they had been using the ALPRs for 60 days, and the city council signed a two-year contract.

CLARIFICATION: In the article, “WR basketball dominates Battle of the Bridge court,” published Jan. 17, the Courier-Herald noted that the scores of the game reported by the South Puget Sound League 2A division (49-44) were incorrect, and that the scores recorded by reporter Kevin Hanson (51-46) were correct. The correct scores were confirmed by Hornet coaches. We apologize for any confusion.
