A primary election and court case update.

ELECTION UPDATE: Since his only challenger dropped out of the race last month, incumbent 31st Legislative District Representative Eric Robertson will run unopposed this year to retain his seat representing southeast King and Pierce counties in the state legislature.

Robertson’s sole challenger, Ted Christie, had filed as a Democrat but withdrew his candidacy. Legislative District 31 covers Enumclaw, Buckley, Bonney Lake, Auburn, Sumner, Wilkeson and Carbonado.

COURT CASE UPDATE: The trial of Brendan Palmer, charged with reckless driving, vehicular assault, and vehicular homicide after a fatal crash on Halloween 2020, has been moved to Aug. 22, 2022.
