Several court hearing and trials have been moved up.

Drunk driver trial moved: Brendan Palmer, who was charged with drunk driving and vehicular assault after allegedly killing a passenger and cutting power to thousands of Enumclaw residents on Halloween 2020, had his trial date moved to Jan. 23, 2023.

Dog stabbing hearing moved: Daniel Ray Evans, who allegedly stabbed one dog and killed two others in Carbonado on Sept. 28, had his competency hearing moved to Dec. 8.

Lewis County molestation trial moved: Kenneth Ray Bishop, an Enumclaw resident who was charged in Lewis County with child molestation July 2020, had his trial moved to Jan. 19, 2023.

Black Diamond council vacancy: The city of Black Diamond is looking for a resident to fill Council Position No. 2 until the Nov. 2023 election has been certified. Applications are due today, Nov. 2. Application forms may be obtained at City Hall, located at 24301 Roberts Drive, Black Diamond, WA 98010 or on the City’s website under “Public Notices”.
