Car stolen at gunpoint | Bonney Lake Police Blotter

Officers were called April 11 to a report of a stolen vehicle. The reporting party told officers he knew the subject who took the car. According to the reporting party, the male subject approached the driver’s side of the car holding a long-barreled gun.

MARIJUANA DUI: Officers pulled over a car on April 10 that was swerving in and out of its lane. It took half a mile before the car pulled over after officers activated their emergency lights. When officers made contact with the male driver, they smelled burnt marijuana. The driver admitted to smoking marijuana a few hours before driving. After volunteering for field sobriety tests, officers determined the male was under the influence and put him in the back of a patrol car. He was cited and released for the DUI.

CAR STOLEN AT GUNPOINT: Officers were called April 11 to a report of a stolen vehicle. The reporting party told officers he knew the subject who took the car. The subject told the driver to get out of the car, to which the subject put the gun away, got into the car and drove off. The reporting party told officers he could not initially call the police because his cell was in the car. In the reporting party’s written statement, he wrote the gun may have been a pellet gun.
