PLANT THIEF: Police were alerted the afternoon of April 8 to a man in a gold station wagon who had been seen pulling plants from the landscaped area at the Foothills Trail and putting them in his vehicle. Officers saw signs of plants being removed but could not locate the suspect.

BAD JUDGEMENT: Police were called at 9:20 p.m. April 6 when two females were seen lying on the roof of a vehicle as it went through the drive-through window of a Roosevelt Avenue business. The girls then stood on the roof of the moving car. Police suggested they halt their behavior.

LOT OF DAMAGE: Police learned April 5 two vehicles had been vandalized while in the parking lot of a Monroe Avenue business. One vehicle had a reported $3,000 damage; the other had $4,000 damage. There were no suspects.

GRAFFITI: Graffiti was found spray painted on the fence at a Wynalda Drive location. There were no witnesses and no suspects.

THEFT SUSPECTED: Employees of a Roosevelt Avenue business suspected theft had occurred after finding the wrappers to two headlamps and a pair of gloves in the store. Suspected of the theft were two females and a male, although no one saw them with the missing items.

TWO CHARGES: A suspect was arrested at 11:30 p.m. April 5 and booked on a drug charge and driving with a suspended license. The vehicle was impounded.

HIGHLY INTOXICATED: An officer found a highly intoxicated man walking down the middle of the road at 12:18 a.m. April 4 in the vicinity of state Route 410 and Farman Street. The man was driven to his residence, where he fell from the police car. He confirmed he was not injured.

DISTURBANCE: The manager at a Griffin Avenue establishment called police the afternoon of April 4, reporting a problem with a tenant who was disturbing others by knocking on doors and yelling. Police made contact and advised him to behave.

HIT-AND-RUN: A hit-and-run incident was reported the morning of April 4. A black sedan reportedly hit the victim’s red Toyota the morning of April 2 in the vicinity of Warner Avenue and Semanski Street. A license plate was found in the roadway, leading authorities to the suspect. Statements were taken from both parties, who agreed to handle the situation as a civil matter.

TEEN DRNKING: A city father called police April 2, reporting his daughter had not come home from school and may have instead spent the day drinking alcohol at a friend’s house. An officer responded and found three unsupervised girls, all of whom had been drinking. Two were picked up at the scene; a third was taken to the police station, where she was picked up by parents.

DOMESTIC SITUATION: Police took a third-party report at 3:09 a.m. April 2 regarding a domestic situation at a Leo Place address. Officers took a woman into custody to be booked for fourth-degree assault/domestic violence.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY: Plice responded the morning of April 3 to a Washington Avenue residence. The front door had been kicked in and an Xbox 360 was stolen.
