Police were notified the afternoon of Jan. 21 of the theft of clothing from a commercial laundry. The victim followed a suspect vehicle, which was then stopped by an officer.

DISTURBANCE: A Chinook Avenue resident called police at 8 a.m. Jan. 22, reporting an ex-wife was refusing to leave the premises. Officers arrived, determined there had been no assault, then trespassed the woman from the residence.

COMBATIVE: Staff from St. Elizabeth Hospital called police at 12:53 a.m. Jan. 21, reporting a combative patient in the emergency room. Officers made contact and resolved the situation.

CLOTHING THEFT: Police were notified the afternoon of Jan. 21 of the theft of clothing from a commercial laundry. The victim followed a suspect vehicle, which was then stopped by an officer. The driver was arrested and booked both for theft and for driving with a suspended license. A passenger was released, the vehicle was impounded and the clothing was returned to the victim.

JANUARY 25: On a busy day in Buckley, police responded to a theft from a vehicle on Cottage Street, a vandalism incident on Edith Street, a reported assault with a weapon at Rainier School and a domestic situation that turned physical.

JANUARY 24: Police heard of an unwanted person in Wilkeson. Other calls involved a reported assault at a Quinalt Court address and three suspicious vehicles.
