Construction on state Route 410 continues

When completed, the $20 million project will add one lane in each direction of SR410 with a raised, landscaped median separating the eastbound and westbound traffic between 214th and 234th Avenues.

Work continues this week on the state Route 410 widening project in the Eastown section of Bonney Lake.

When completed, the $20 million project will add one lane in each direction of SR410 with a raised, landscaped median separating the eastbound and westbound traffic between 214th and 234th Avenues.

Curb, gutter and storm sewer will also be added to the length of the project and the existing intersection will be replaced with a four-leg intersection with a traffic signal. Street lights will also be added.

The city of Bonney Lake will share the cost of the lights. The city’s share is expected to be between $300,000 and $350,000.

This week, traffic will begin to be diverted to the south side of the highway as cutting and filling work will begin on the north side. A retaining wall and stormwater lines will also be installed beginning Friday, weather permitting.

Work on the projects, including the extension of city water lines will continue through next week as well.
