This photograph was taken in 1920 at the Continental Coal Company mine in Ravensdale. Fred Habenicht is shown supervising the offloading of a new General Electric motor used for pulling mine cars from the tunnel to the coal bunker in the background.

The miners from left to right are: Vern Habenicht, the 18-year-old son of Fred Habenicht; Bob Kingen Sr.; Ferdinand “Frenchy” Maigre; Evor Morgan holding a chain; Fred Habenicht leaning on the electric motor and holding a hand saw; and Mr. Baldwin in the front right.  After leaving the coal industry, Bob Kingen opened a restaurant; his son Bob Kingen Jr. followed in his footsteps, as did grandson Gerald Robert Kingen, who launched the Red Robin chain.
