In “Rainier School tour fishes for ideas” (Oct. 6) the article misprinted a quote from Diane Larsen to read: “developmentally disabled persons.” The correct quote was “people with developmental disabilities.” Larsen, who works as a parent coordinator and legislative liaison for Pierce County Coalition for Developmental Disabilities, said she uses and teaches the “People First” manner of speaking to reflect that everyone is a person first, and their disability second.

In “Christma-bunga!” (Community Click, Oct. 6) we inaccurately identified the owner of Janna Banana gift shop as Janice Thomas. Thomas only sells her greeting cards through the shop, which is owned by Janet Johnson of Lake Tapps.
