Community members are encouraged to join discussions of best-selling books during free events at the Buckley library.

The book group welcomes new and returning members when they meet at 6:30 p.m. on the following Tuesdays:

• July 17 – “The Marriage Plot” by Jeffrey Eugenides

• Aug. 21 – “Wesley the Owl” by Stacey O’Brien

• Sept. 18 – “The Worst Hard Time” by Timothy Egan

• Oct. 16 – “The Story of Beautiful Girl” by Rachel Simon

Readers may request these and other books, DVDs, audiobooks and more through the Pierce County Library catalog on the library’s website, and check them out at any Pierce County library.

The Buckley library is at 123 S. River Ave.
