ASSAULT ARRESTS: Police responded at 10:22 p.m. Aug. 23 to the rodeo grounds at the Enumclaw Expo Center after hearing of a disturbance involving several subjects. Two were arrested for assault, the beer garden was shut down for the night and all were advised to leave the area. One subject was released the following morning and a second was released the following afternoon after each posted bail.
TIME FOR TREATMENT: A report of a man walking in and out of traffic the evening of Aug. 23 had police responding to the area of Warner Avenue at state Route 410. It was determined the man could be under the influence of drugs; medical aid was summoned and the man was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.
SIDEWALK NAP: Police responded at 2:30 a.m. Aug 23 to a report of a man sleeping on the sidewalk in the vicinity of Porter Street and Jefferson Avenue. Officers requested medical assistance, then released the man to a friend.
TWO PROWLS: Police heard Aug. 22 of a pair of vehicle prowls that had occurred the previous evening. At a Fredricksen Street address, nothing was taken but damage was done to a passenger-side window. At a Porter Street location, several items were taken and damage was done to the ignition.
ITEMS MISSING: An officer contacted a complainant Aug. 22 regarding a residential burglary that occurred earlier in the day at a Pioneer Streel location.
UNWANTED PERSON: A Melody Lane resident called police at 1:45 a.m. Aug. 21, reporting an unknown person at her door. Police made contact with the person, who was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
BOTHERING CUSTOMERS: A call regarding people harassing customers at 10 p.m. Aug. 21 had police responding to a Roosevelt Avenue location. The suspects were advised to leave the area.
ARREST WARRANT: Police acted late on Aug. 21 on an arrest warrant issued by Bonney Lake. A suspect was taken into custody and taken to the Enumclaw. After posting bail of $150 the subject was released.
THEFT ATTEMPT: Someone attempted to steal a tip jar from a city restaurant the afternoon of Aug. 20, but dropped the jar when confronted. The suspect fled on foot, then returned and fled in a vehicle. The suspect was not located.
NO CAMPING: Police were told Aug. 19 a group of people had set up tents and formed a camp about 50 yards off the Foothills Trail down a worn foot path. Officers found the camp with just one tent and no one in the area. A message was left that the camp needed to be vacated.
DISORDERLY: An officer on patrol shortly before 3 a.m. Aug. 19 witnessed a domestic dispute at a Semanski Street location. The incident resulted in a man being cited for disorderly conduct.
