Officers responded to a state Route 410 store to the report that a man had been yelling inside the store. When officers arrived, they spoke with the subject who said he had not been yelling, he was just waiting for the manager to provide him with information. When officers spoke with the manager, she was crying and said the subject had been in the store for an hour and was yelling at her because he wanted a product the store would never carry. The subject was trespassed from the store.

Disorderly Conduct: Officers responded to a state Route 410 store to the report that a man had been yelling inside the store. When officers arrived, they spoke with the subject who said he had not been yelling, he was just waiting for the manager to provide him with information. When officers spoke with the manager, she was crying and said the subject had been in the store for an hour and was yelling at her because he wanted a product the store would never carry. The subject was trespassed from the store.

Burglary: Officers responded to a SR 410 store where a shoplifting suspect had just left the scene. Officers made contact with the suspect and returned him to the store for questioning. The store’s asset protection assistant told officers he watched the suspect throughout the store and watched him place a number of items in his pockets. The suspect paid for some items but not for those he concealed. When the employee stopped the suspect and asked him to return inside the store, the suspect just handed over the stolen items and left the scene on his bike. Officers also learned that the suspect had previously been trespassed from all like stores in 2012. Officers transported the suspect to the Pierce County Jail where he was booked on burglary and trespassing.

Trip Permit Violation: On a routine patrol, officers conducted a records check of a vehicle traveling on SR 410. The check showed the registration expired in October 2013. Once the vehicle was pulled over, officers noticed the trip permit in the back window didn’t look right. They spoke with the driver and later noticed that the permit had been tampered with. The driver said she didn’t know who altered the permit and that her boyfriend had just bought the car for her and they were working to get it registered. The driver was issued a criminal citation for the permit violation.
