ASSAULT: At 6:32 a.m. June 13, Buckley officers responded to an unknown disturbance at a Park Avenue apartment. On arrival, all parties involved in an apparent confrontation were interviewed. Officers determined that a male on the scene was the primary aggressor. He was arrested for assault, possession of a dangerous weapon, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and malicious mischief. Two females on the scene were also arrested for outstanding warrants.

LICENSE SUSPENDED: A state Route 410 commuter had her license plate scanned after an officer noticed her lamp was out. The database search returned a third degree suspension of the registered owner’s driving privileges. The driver was placed under arrest for her suspended license, as well as for possessing some cannabis and drug paraphernalia.

DUI: At 11:25 p.m. June 13, an officer stopped a driver for improper lane usage on SR410. He was arrested for DUI after being subjected to voluntary sobriety tests. He was also found to be in possession of cannabis and cannabis paraphernalia.

MOTOR THEFT: A resident reported her car stolen as of 11 a.m. June 14. Buckley officers collected her vehicle information and added it to the WACIC/NCIC database.

RIM THEFT: At 5:30 p.m. June 13, a victim reported eight tire rims stolen from his North Elsa Street garage. No suspects or witnesses were readily available, but the officer forwarded the case to investigations.

HOME INVASION: At 8 p.m. June 13, a 36-year-old Buckley man reported persons unknown had entered his garage and stolen several tools.

MISDEMEANOR POSSESSION: At 11:45 p.m. June 14, a driver and vehicle were stopped on the 410 for a defective tail light. The officer smelled fresh cannabis and asked the driver if he had marijuana in his vehicle. The driver said he did and that he had proof he was legally allowed to possess it. He provided the cannabis to the officer and was placed under arrest. He was issued a notice of infraction for the tail light and a criminal citation for possession of cannabis.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT: An officer was dispatched to an A Street residence for a possible domestic violence incident. The assault was confirmed and the male half of the confrontation was booked into jail.

ON A ROLL: A man was stopped for speeding on the 410 by Lower Cemetery Road, at 1:08 a.m. June 16. Officers determined the driver was under the influence, with a license suspended in the third degree, possessing cannabis and illegal drug paraphernalia. He was processed for the DUI and released with a court date.

OVERDOSE: An officer was dispatched to a reported overdose at Rainier State School June 17 at 2:53 p.m. Members of the fire department were preparing to transport a client to St. Elizabeth Hospital. The medic stated the client had ingested an excessive dose of aspirin with the intent to end her own life. The officer followed the ambulance to the hospital and interviewed the subject with a doctor present. The doctor said he would contact a mental health professional to work with the subject. A representative of Rainier State informed the lawman that a staff member would take custody of the patient when she was released.

MISSING PERSON: A man reported his 15-year-old son missing June 18. He said his son had left a phone message at 5 p.m. the night before to inform him he was at the city skate park. A case report was completed and the missing juvenile was entered into records as a missing person.

PARKING BRAKE: An officer responded to St. Elizabeth Hospital on a report of a 4-year-old hit by a car on June 19. It was determined the parking brake on a truck had been accidentally released by the 4-year-old while the child was exploring. The car rolled back, causing the child to fall on the ground.

JUST TOURETTE SYNDROME: Officers responded to a possible domestic assault on Heather Lane, June 19 10 p.m. A male voice could be heard yelling through a window when officers arrived. It was soon discovered that the man lives with Tourette Syndrome, a condition which causes him to yell in his sleep. A sweep of the residence determined the man was, in fact, alone.
