Easter egg hunts in Bonney Lake and Sumner

Friday, March 29

The Bonney Lake Senior Center Easter lunch and egg hunt will begin at approximately 10 a.m. Lunch will follow at 11:30 a.m.

Saturday, March 30

The City of Bonney Lake Kids’ Easter Egg Hunt will be held at 11 a.m. at Allan Yorke Park for ages one to 11. The Easter Bunny will be available for photos. This is a free, family friendly activity.

The Sumner-Bonney Lake Recreation Program will sponsor an Adult Flashlight Egg Hunt at 9 p.m. Over 2,000 eggs will be hidden around Allen Yorke Park Field #4. Prizes will include candy, gift cards, and more. This is an 18 and older event with a $5 charge per person.

The Sumner Easter Egg Hunt will be held by East Pierce Firefighters Local 3520 at Sunset Stadium. This is a free event but donations will be accepted for local food banks. Children will be allowed to hunt during specified times for their age group:

  • 9 a.m. one to three year olds
  • 10 a.m. four to seven year olds
  • 11 a.m. eight to 11 year olds

East Pierce Fire and Rescue also sponsors a South Prairie Egg Hunt. The South Prairie egg hunt will begin at 10 a.m. at the South Prairie City Park located at Third and Tacoma Streets.

The Old Cannery Furniture Warehouse in Sumner is providing free Easter Bunny photos and egg hunts for children from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The petting zoo was not brought back this year because of budget restraints. There will be Hearts for Hygiene donation bins to collect basic hygiene items for families in need.
