The second part of Enumclaw High School Spanish teacher Molly Chang’s experience as the Sylvan and King 5 Teachers Who Make A Difference award winner will take place at 1:30 p.m. Monday when she throws out the first pitch at the Tacoma Rainiers baseball game.

It’s Memorial Day, so there’s no school and no excuse for students to not show their support for Chang and the Rainiers as they face the Nashville Sounds in this minor league ballgame at Cheney Stadium in Tacoma. The game will feature teachers, like Chang, who were nominated for the Teachers Who Make A Difference event in January.

Chang was a grand prize winner and was nominated by Enumclaw High School Student Ashley Dell’Osa.

Plateau residents can view Chang’s King 5 “salute” at http://visualmediagroup.net/proofs/Proof_Sylvan_Chang_30sec_022409.html.

Tickets are $9.95 each and include hotdog, soda and chips, and can be reserved by contacting Beth Mager of the Tacoma Rainiers at 253-722-1048. Tickets will be available for game-day pick-up at Cheney Stadium, 2502 S. Tyler St.
