See yourself as a writer? Enter the Pierce County READS 2015 Flash Fiction (Or Not) writing contest by Tuesday, March 31.

Grand prize is two free tickets to Pierce County Library Foundation’s donor reception with author Daniel James Brown on April 24 (a $250 value). The winner will be recognized at the Pierce County READS author event and the winning entry will be published in the event program.

Write about sports, triumph over adversity, water, WWII, or being part of a team—all themes related to “The Boys in the Boat,” the 2015 Pierce County READS selection. Use 750 words or less and submit your entry by March 31.

Three ways to enter:

– Email entry as an attachment (include name, address, and phone number) to info@piercecountyreads.org

– Turn in submission and entry form to any Pierce County Library

– Mail your submission and entry form to Flash Fiction (or Not), Pierce County Library System, ATTN: Jaime Prothro, 3005 112th St. E., Tacoma, WA 98445-2215

Contest participants must be Washington state residents at least 18 years of age. Your name may appear in media and library communications.
