Enumclaw Beer Walk opens this Saturday

Two dozen breweries and cider houses are participating.

Enumclaw’s downtown Beer Walk is back this weekend.

Twenty-four breweries and cider houses will have drinks available for patrons, according to the Enumclaw Chamber of Commerce, including local shops like Griffin Brewing, Cole Street Brewery, Headworks, and Half Lion Brewing and Top Down Brewing in Sumner.

Other regional brewers will include Fort George, Great Notion, Pike Brewing, Ghostfish, and 2Towns Cider, according to the Chamber.

The yearly event packs downtown Enumclaw across five blocks of Cole Street. It runs this year from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, June 10.

One $40 general admission ticket, available online or at the event, buys you a tasting glass and 10 tickets — more tickets can be purchased at the event, or online up to a day until the event.

VIP attendees will receive charcuterie in a cup from Bordeaux Wine Bar, Griffin, Cole Street and Headworks will pour new or limited edition drinks for VIP attendees. (VIP tickets will only be sold online.)

The event sold around 850 or more tickets last year, according to the Chamber of Commerce.

If you go with friends, consider selecting a designated driver or confirming another way of getting home safe when you leave the event. The Chamber will check every participant for ID, and also said that open containers aren’t allowed on the street.
