Enumclaw, Black Diamond police blotter | March 7 – 16

A strange man in the woods, a trespassed would-be-gift-giver, and a dog on a roof.

ENUMCLAW

March 10

– Officers were dispatched to Sorenson Avenue around 5:30 p.m. regarding a dog on a residential roof. The owner of the dog explained this was normal behavior, and police left the area.

– Police responded to a call about multiple suspicious subjects attempting to gain entry to Enumclaw Plateau Heated Storage around 8:30 p.m. The subjects had left by the time officers arrived.

March 11

– Officers were flagged down on Cole Street around 6:30 a.m. regarding someone finding a cellphone and wallet. Both were returned to the owner on March 13.

– Police found a lost dog on Cole Street around 6 p.m. The dog was returned to the owner.

March 12

– Officers approached several individuals sleeping in a car outside Rite Aid around 2:30 a.m. They explained to police they were sleeping off a night of drinking before driving.

– Police were called to assist with Buckley PD around 7:30 p.m. regarding a report of a subject throwing knives on Ryan Road. The call was cancelled when officers arrived.

March 13

– Officers were called to Seeders around 1:30 a.m. regarding a fight. All parties left before police arrived.

– Police attempted to perform a welfare check at a Douglas Fir Drive and Grand Fir Drive residence around 11:30 a.m. However, the subject they were seeking hadn’t lived there since 2018. The subject was entered into the system as a missing person.

– Officers performed a traffic stop on Warner Avenue and Baur Lane around 6 p.m., which resulted in finding a missing juvenile. However, when contacting the parents, they told police the juvenile was no longer missing.

– Police attempted to stop a car around 11:30 p.m., but the drivers did not stop for officers. However, officers appeared to have followed the car to the Guest House Inn, sans occupants, and the vehicle was towed.

March 14

– A traffic stop on Monroe Avenue around 11 p.m. resulted in the driver being arrested and booked with DUI.

March 15

– Officers were informed of a stolen car off Lowell Avenue around 5 a.m. King County deputies later found the car around midnight outside North Bend.

March 16

– Police were called out to the skate park on Griffin Avenue around 4 p.m. regarding a large fight. Officers arrived and spoke with the group there, and determined no fight had occurred.

BLACK DIAMOND

March 7

– Officers recovered a car stolen from 216th Avenue SE around 4:30 a.m.

– Police were called to a Cumberland Place cul de sac around 8:15 p.m. regarding a suspicious individual. According to the reporting party, the same man would periodically park in the cul de sac, leave the car and enter the woods for an hour before leaving. The man does not live in the area, and it’s unknown what he does in the woods. Extra patrols were requested.

March 8

– Officers attempted to contact a suspicious individual on Blaine Avenue around 7 p.m. The man walked away from officers, who did not pursue, but police did impound the car the man was standing next to as a possible stolen vehicle.

March 9

– Around 11 a.m., officers were dispatched to Black Gold Coffee regarding a suspicious person. Police made contact, and the male subject explained they were tying to leave a gift for a female employee at the shop. Officers trespassed him from the business.

March 10

– Officers aided Enumclaw police around 1:30 a.m. regarding a burglary in progress. A male subject was located in the residence in question and arrested without incident.

March 11

– Police were called to a Union Drive residence around 11 p.m. regarding a possible case of alcohol poisoning. Officers stood by while EMS checked the patient, who was transported to the hospital.
