Oct. 14

– Officers aided EMS with a CPR in progress around 10 a.m. The subject was a victim of an overdose, and was conscious when officers arrived. The subject was transported to a hospital.

– A 911 call was made around 11:30 a.m. but only construction was heard in the background. An officer responded to area the call originated, around 448th Street, and it was determined the call was a misdial.

– Another 911 call was made, this time from Myrtle Avenue around 1:30 p.m. It was an open line, so dispatch attempted to call back, but no answer. Officers responded and observed nothing amiss; the caller eventually called back to confirm a misdial.

– Officers came across a suspicious vehicle parked on the wrong side of Lafromboise Street around 1:30 p.m. Officers contacted the owner, who said he was visiting a friend and will move the car.

– Officers received a report around 10:15 p.m. of a possibly intoxicated subject trying to enter their car on Griffin Avenue and Railroad Street. Officers contacted the subject and gave them a courtesy ride home.

– Around 10:45 p.m., officers received a report of someone yelling in a nearby apartment on Battersby Avenue. Officers determined the subject lived alone and was yelling at themselves.

Oct. 15

– Officers followed up with a report of a Griffin Avenue vehicle prowl around 6:30 p.m. It appears a firearm was taken, but the reporting party later called in on Oct. 16 to let officers know they found the gun in the bushes not far from the location it was taken from. Also found was a tool bag with miscellaneous items in it.

– A woman called police around 10:15 p.m. to report her boyfriend has been assaulted. However, the victim did not want to speak to officers; he was taken to St. Elizabeth for his injuries.

Oct. 16

– Officers came across two horses in the middle of 244th Avenue SE and SE 448th Street around 11:45 p.m. It was out of their jurisdiction, and King County Sheriff’s Office was notified.

Oct. 17

– Officers came across a vehicle on the side of Roosevelt Avenue and SE 448th Street with its lights off around 12:45 a.m. Officers spoke with the driver, who was having car trouble. Officers followed the driver home.

– A 1:30 a.m. traffic stop on SR 410 and 252nd Avenue SE resulted in the driver being arrested, booked, and released for DUI. The vehicle was impounded.

– Officers responded to both a theft of a vehicle and a vehicle prowl on Ferrelly Street around 12:30 p.m. A report was taken for the vehicle theft and for the items taken from the second car. The stolen car was located on Oct. 19.

– A welfare check was requested for a man in the ditch on Roosevelt Avenue and SE 448th Street around 3:30 p.m. Officers determined there were no issues.

Oct. 18

– Officers performed a welfare check on a man who was sleeping in his vehicle in a drive-through on Griffin Avenue around 6 p.m. The man was counseled and picked up by a relative.

Oct. 19

– An arson was reported around 3 a.m. at an undisclosed location. Officers took a report; no suspects were located.

– A suspicious item was apparently thrown over a Charwila Lane fence into a resident’s yard. The reporting party called officers around 1 p.m., and advised officers he could dispose of the item himself, but wanted extra patrols in the area.

– Officers performed a welfare check requested by a friend saying they normally stay in contact every day, but hadn’t heard from the her in a few weeks. Officers checked on the subject’s parents, Gillis Court residents, who told officers the subject had lost her phone privileges.

– Officers observed multiple subjects going through the dumpster at the Enumclaw Bargain Center around 11:30 p.m. They were advised to leave.

Oct. 20

– A 12:45 a.m. traffic stop on SR 410 resulted in the driver being cited and released for driving with a suspended license. He was advised to have a licensed driver to pick him up.

– Officers performed a welfare check on a known subject in the gazebo at the Guest Inn House around 2:45 p.m. It was determined that the subject needed medical attention, and the Enumclaw Fire Department transported the subject to the hospital.

– Officers were advised of a possible bag of drugs lying in the middle of Garrett Street. Officers located the bag and disposed of the unknown substance.

– Officers assisted in securing a vehicle that crashed near SR 410 and SE Mud Mountain Road while running from the Washington State Patrol around 6:15 p.m. One person was taken into custody.

Oct. 21

– A Spring Place resident reported to officers their vehicle was stolen sometime in the night. Officers took a report.

– Officers were called to a Roosevelt Avenue business in response to an unwanted subject around 3 p.m. The subject was gone by the time officers arrived, but they found the subject at another business. Subject was trespassed from the original business and arrested on Bonney Lake warrants.

Oct. 22

– Officers were called to Garfield Street to a report of a dispute between a renter and the landlord around 2 p.m. It was determined there was an animal issue, and King County Animal Control was called to assist. KCAC arrived a few hours later to take possession of four cats, and planned to return the next day to take possession of another five felines.

Oct. 23

– Officers provided a fingerprint scanner to the Black Diamond Police Department around 9 p.m. to aid a man who lost his memory. The fingerprint scanner was able to identify the man.

– Officers were called by the girlfriend of a man who had been drinking and was now running around screaming for help in the Wetherbee Lane area around 11:30 p.m. Officers responded and both partied agreed to go home together.

Oct. 24

– A subject asked the Starbucks on Garrett Street to call the police for him. He explained to officers he was upset at being kicked out of the Lee Hotel for not wearing shoes.

Oct. 25

– Officers responded to a report of a stolen handgun at the Expo Center gun show around 8 a.m. A report was taken.

– A welfare check was performed on two subjects slumped over in a vehicle on Roosevelt Avenue around 10 a.m. It was determined the vehicle was stolen, and the registered owner was contacted.

Oct. 26

– Officers responded to a report of a man attempting to steal a package off a Griffin Avenue and Garfield Street porch around 1 p.m. The man was arrested on a felony warrant.

Oct. 18

– Officers were dispatched to SE Mountain View Drive around 9 a.m. to investigate an unknown subject at a vacant property. Officers contacted the property owner and learned the unknown man in the residence was his son.

– Officers responded to a theft report on 224th Avenue SE around 9 a.m. The reporting party told officers he recently found his and his neighbors’ locked mailboxes were pried open. Around 9:30 a.m., officer investigated another mail theft, this time on 222nd Place SE, that may be related to the first.

Oct. 20

– Around 11:30 a.m., officers were dispatched to 216th Avenue SE to a report of juveniles having shoplifted from a local business. Officers could not locate the subjects, but informed Kentlake High School of the issue.

– Officers received a report of a Baker Street resident having just been contacted by a man pretending to be from Amazon around 11:30 a.m. The reporting party told officers they knew it was a scam and did not provide any personal information, but wanted the police to be aware of the situation.

Oct. 21

– Officers were dispatched to a Bruckners Way address around 9 p.m. regarding a suspicious vehicle. It was quickly determined the vehicle belonged to a nearby resident.

Oct. 22

– A city employee contacted officers around 9 a.m. to report a SE 297th Street resident’s mailbox had been pried open.

– Officers were dispatched to Mason Street around 4 p.m. to investigate a strange man knocking on doors and asking for help. It was determined the man was suffering from mental health issues, and was being cared for by a family member who was on location.

– Officers responded to a suspicious subject report around 6:30 p.m. According to a SE 297th Street resident, a man was knocking on doors stating he was there on behalf of the Federal Way City Council; the man left after he was told the police were called. Officers were unable to locate the man.

– An officer on patrol in the Lake Sawyer Road SE area located a stolen vehicle in a nearby parking lot around 8:30 p.m. A subject was removing parts from the vehicle when officers made contact. It was determined the man had multiple warrants out for his arrest; he was booked into jail and the vehicle towed.

Oct. 23

– Officers responded to a single vehicle collision on 224th Avenue SE around 2:30 a.m. It was determined the driver was under the influence of alcohol; he was transported to a medical facility for evaluation and charged with DUI.

– Officers performed a standby on 228th Avenue SE around 1:30 p.m. to assist a woman in taking possession of her home.

– Officers were dispatched to 3rd Avenue around 9:45 p.m. to aid a man yelling for help. The man couldn’t remember who he was or where he came from; he was identified with a fingerprint scanner and taken to a hospital for evaluation.

– Around 3:15 a.m., officers aided the Enumclaw Police Department in investigating a possible arson at a Fell Street home. Officers were unable to locate a suspect.
