During arraignment proceedings in King County Superior Court, Jensen pleaded not guilty to charges of second-degree assault and unlawful imprisonment, both felonies, as well as reckless endangerment, a misdemeanor.

Next comes a case setting hearing, which has been scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 5.

It is alleged Jensen, 43, erupted during the late-evening hours of Friday, Jan. 10, following an argument with his girlfriend. The two reside at her Enumclaw home. Prosecutors allege that, during a span of several hours, Jensen assaulted the woman, prevented her from calling for help and then drove her away from town at a high rate of speed when she believed Jensen was taking her to the hospital.

She eventually jumped from Jensen’s pickup and hid in bushes until flagging down a passing motorist. It was approximately 3 a.m. Jan. 11 when she was delivered to the Enumclaw police station.

After initially ignoring police requests, Jensen surrendered to authorities later that day. He was initially held at the Enumclaw jail before being transferred to the Regional Justice Center in Kent. He was released Jan. 14, bailed out on a $150,000 bond.
