WRONG PLACE

• A patrolling officer encountered a 4-foot snowball blocking traffic about 1:30 a.m. Dec. 17 on Porter Street. The officer followed footprints to a nearby residence. Two large snowballs were removed from the street.

FIRE ASSIST

• Police assisted the fire department about 1:45 a.m. Dec. 17, responding to a smoke-filled home on 212th Avenue Southeast. An officer arrived and helped get occupants out of the house.

RECKLESS DRIVING

• Police were told shortly before 11 p.m. Dec. 17 of a quad-runner being driven recklessly. Officers found evidence on several streets, including Charwila, Harmony, Scandia and Melody. The driver was found and cited, while the four-wheeler was impounded.

BAR FIGHT

• A report of a bar fight was received at 11:53 p.m. Dec. 17. Four subjects were involved and no weapons were present. One male suspect fled the scene prior to the officers’ arrival; the victim declined to press charges and did not want medical aid for his minor facial injuries. All remaining subjects were told to leave the Railroad Street business and the bar was closed for the night.

NO SKATING

• Several juveniles were seen Dec. 16 skating on the water retention pond in the vicinity of Wetherbee Court and Gillis Court. They were advised to leave and not return.

THEFT

• A citizen told police Dec. 16 a PlayStation II had been stolen from her car while it was parked at the park-and-ride lot of Farrelly Street.

INTOXICATED

• A Dec. 16 traffic stop near Garrett Street and Stevenson Avenue resulted in a female driver being arrested for driving while intoxicated. A male passenger was released at the scene and the vehicle was released to the registered owner.

• A Dec. 16 traffic stop in a Roosevelt Avenue parking lot resulted in two males being taken into custody for being minors in possession of alcohol.

DRIVING OFFENSE

• Police received a call Dec. 14 about a 17-year-old driving without a license, transporting several subjects to a city grocery store. An officer made contact in the parking lot and arrested the teenager for driving without a valid license; an adult passenger was arrested for reckless endangerment. The vehicle was impounded and the passengers were released at the scene.

UNWANTED

• Police received a call shortly before 1 a.m. Dec. 13 from a Railroad Street business, where a subject was refusing to leave after being “cut off.” An officer responded and contacted the man, who agreed to depart.

WEAPON IN SCHOOL

• A student was detained Dec. 12 in an Enumclaw school office for a weapons violation; the BB gun in question had been confiscated. An officer contact ed the concerned parties and the school was to handle the matter.

DOMESTIC

• A city woman told police Dec. 12 she had been receiving harassing calls and text messages from her soon-to-be ex-husband. An officer advised her to investigate the possibility of obtaining a no-contact order and suggested that she not answer his calls.

• A city man told police Dec. 12 that his wife hit him and had threatened to take his vehicle to go out and make a drug purchase. When police arrived the woman had left the scene. A report was taken for fourth-degree assault.
