STOLEN VEHICLE: A stolen vehicle was recovered Friday afternoon for the Sumner Police Department. It was impounded from the Buckley area and was in poor condition when found. Sumner police were to notify the registered owner.

TIRES SLASHED: Extra patrol was requested for apartments in the area of Leo Place and Warner Avenue, due to a recent rash of tire slashings. Some vehicles were vandalized hit twice. Tenants were encouraged to report the damage. There were no suspects.

WELFARE CHECK: Staff at a Jensen Street facility told police Friday of a man who entered their building and had a meal but is not a resident. He appeared to have had recent surgery and looked to be in pain. He told staff he had nowhere to go. The man left the building and could not be located.

ASKED TO LEAVE: City employees contacted police Saturday night, telling of a man walking around the Enumclaw Expo Center after being asked to leave an event. He appeared threatening and talked of getting a weapon. Officers arrived as the event was ending and were not able to locate the suspect.

SEVERAL CHARGES: City police and King County authorities dealt with a man Saturday who was detained at a state Route 410 address. The man eventually was transported to be evaluated for a minor laceration by paramedics, then taken to jail on burglary, trespassing and weapons charges.

POLICE DOG SHOT: Between 8:15 and 8:30 a.m. Thursday a dog was shot with a BB gun while at a Pioneer Street residence. The animal, part of Buckley’s police force, was treated by a veterinarian and released. There were no suspects.

DRUGS SUSPECTED: A citizen arrived at the police station lobby Thursday afternoon to provide information about possible drug activity. The information was passed on to detectives.

VEHICLE FIRE: Officers responded with fire department personnel Thursday afternoon to a Maple Drive residence to help with crowd control and possible evacuation stemming from a vehicle fire.
