HOME BREAK-IN: A citizen arrived at a relative’s house on Victor Street April 13 and found a window broken and several items missing. A burglary report was completed and a sword was taken for safekeeping.

UNWANTED MAN: A woman told police April 13 a man attempted to get into her car after bothering her for several  hours. Officers contacted the man, who said he was on his way out of town. Officers stood by to assure he departed and that the woman was safely on her way.

DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Police dealt with a brother-sister dispute April 12 after both siblings arrived  in the police station lobby. An investigation revealed no assault occurred, but the sister was arrested on a Federal Way Police Department warrant.

GRENADE FOUND: A woman gave police a grenade after finding it in her father’s possessions. It was taken for safekeeping and turned over to a bomb squad.

PROWL UNSUCCESSFUL: Police were alerted at 7:32 p.m. April 10 to a vehicle prowl on Sun Mountain Drive. Two teenage males were observed leaving the scene in a blue minivan. There was no damage done to the victim’s vehicle and nothing was taken.

TWO CHARGES: A traffic stop at 9 a.m. April 10 at state Route 410 and Semanski Street resulted in the driver charged with possession of marijuana and driving under the influence. Both the vehicle and a passenger were released to a sober driver.

MAILBOX FOUND: A mailbox was found April 10 in the middle of Semanski Street. It was determined the box belonged to a  home on Southeast 464th Street. There was no damage to either the post of the mailbox. The owner was located and reunited with his mailbox.

BIT TOO ZEALOUS: Police were called shortly before 1 a.m. April 9 by a Roosevelt Avenue resident who heard yelling and screaming. Officers responded and found two overly zealous males engaging in an arm wrestling contest. They were advised to quiet down a bit and they complied.

SUICIDAL: Police contacted a suicidal male in the Cole Street vicinity the morning of April 9. Aid was summoned and the man was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital.

DISTURBANCE: Police were called at 7:11 p.m. April 9 to help with an out-of-control patient at St. Elizabeth Hospital. The situation was settled upon police contact.

JUST TELEVISION: A Watson Street resident alerted police April 8 to a man yelling, a woman screaming and a lot of profanity. Police responded and determined the uproar was from a neighboring TV.

MAIL THEFT: A man in a silver  Jeep was seen taking packages April 8 from a U.S. Postal Service truck while it was parked on Franklin Street and the carrier was away from the vehicle. The suspect could not be located.
