METAL THEFT: Police took a report Feb. 27 of subjects loading scrap metal from a bin behind a Griffin Avenue business into their older-model pickup. Following police contact, two men were booked for third-degree theft and giving false statements to police. The driver was charged for operating a vehicle without a valid license.

TWO CHARGED: A Feb. 26 traffic stop resulted in the driver arrested an booked for driving under the influence, before being released to parents. A passenger was arrested an booked for possession of both marijuana and drug paraphernalia before being released to parents.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: A St. Elizabeth security officer reported Feb. 25 a vehicle had been prowled while in the emergency room parking lot. An officer located the victim’s vehicle and found a  passenger-side window had been broken. A DVD player valued at $100 had been stolen and the damage to the vehicle was estimated at $400.

NOISE COMPLAINT: Police took a report shortly after midnight Feb. 24 of excessive noise coming f rom a Griffin Avenue apartment. An officer responded an determined the noise stemmed from a domestic situation involving parents and a daughter. The incident was resolved.

SCAM ATTEMPT: A citizen arrived in the police lobby Feb. 24 reporting a fraud. The city resident had received a check in the mail that turned out to be part of a scam. An informational report was taken.

CIVIL DISPUTE: A woman told police Feb. 24 furniture had been stolen from her residence. Further investigation revealed an ongoing dispute between the the woman and her former church organization. Arrangements were made for a property exchange.

ARREST WARRANTS: A suspicious female checked into St. Elizabeth Hospital Feb. 24, possessing no valid identification. The taxi driver who transported her to the hospital was given a $60 check that was no good. The woman was booked into the Enumclaw jail for felony fraud investigation. It was discovered she was wanted on arrest warrants issued by Puyallup, Bothell and Bellevue.
