Enumclaw Police Reports Jan. 9-12

AGENCY ASSIST: Enumclaw police were asked Jan. 12 by the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office to locate a wanted subject. The individual was found at a Chinook Avenue location, taken into custody and transported to Buckley, to be turned over to Pierce County authorities. Also, city police were asked to serve papers on a local person from Mason County District Court; police were unable to make contact.

EXTRA PATROL: Police received a request Jan. 12 to provide additional patrols around a Roosevelt Avenue location, due to a concern that transients had been living under shrubbery on the east side of the building.

HIGH WATER: Police took a report at 8:20 p.m. Jan. 12 of water over Semanski Street. When water went over the curb, city employees placed a sign warning of the hazard.

INJURY ACCIDENT: Police responded at 8:20 p.m. Jan. 11 to the vicinity of state Route 410 and Semanski Street and a two-car motor vehicle accident with injuries. The vehicle were impounded and a patient was transported to Harborview Medical Center.

IMPAIRED, ARRESTED: On Jan. 11, a citizen advised of a possibly-intoxicated female leaving the vicinity of Roosevelt Avenue and Watson Street. Police stopped the vehicle, determined the woman was impaired and made the arrest. Her vehicle was impounded.

TWO CHARGES: A driver was arrested at 4 a.m. Jan. 10 for driving with a suspended license and violating an order for an interlock device. The vehicle was impounded.

CHECK STOLEN: A Warner Avenue resident reported to police Jan. 10 her $130 rent check had been stolen from the apartment manager’s office. The check was voided and the victim was to open a new account. There were no suspects.

JEWELRY TAKEN: A Natalie Place resident told police Jan. 10 approximately $1,500 worth of jewelry was taken from the home.

DISTURBANCE: Police were notified Jan. 10 that a woman was becoming outraged when a city pharmacy was unable to fill her prescription. Officers made contact with the woman, who agreed to leave. Her prescriptions were to be forwarded to another pharmacy.

SURRENDER: A person wanted on a Department of Corrections warrant surrendered at the police station Jan. 10. The person was wanted for two counts of assault and possession of a controlled substance.

DUI: Police were alerted Jan. 9 to an intoxicated driver at the drive-through window of a Griffin Avenue business. Police stopped the vehicle nearby and arrested the motorist for driving under the influence. The vehicle was impounded.
