STOLEN LAPTOP: King County authorities contacted Enumclaw police June 15, asking that they contact a person at a Lincoln Avenue address and determine if he was in possession of a Dell laptop computer. The man was contacted by phone and confirmed he had the computer in question. It was determined the laptop had been stolen in White Center, Wash., and sold to the Enumclaw man in a Puyallup, Wash., store. The Enumclaw man, who agreed to take the laptop to the police station, was not a suspect in the theft. The computer was located when the victim activated the internal LoJack system.

TEEN ISSUES: Police responded at 11:40 a.m. June 15 to a Mountain View Drive address after receiving a report of a teenager out of control. They found a 16-year-old girl who was refusing to cooperate with her parents. The juvenile was talked to regarding her behavior issues.

UNWANTED GUESTS: Police responded the afternoon of June 15 to a Florence Street address after hearing of two people and two pit bulls who were not wanted on the premises. A female was taken into custody for violating the city ordinance that outlaws pit bulls in the city limits.

SHOPLIFTING: An officer responded June 15 to a Roosevelt Avenue store after learning of two ffemale shoplifters in custody. The suspects were arrested and taken to the Enumclaw station for booking.

BUCKLEY ASSIST: An officer responded at 11 p.m. June 14 to assist Buckley authorities with a domestic situation. One person was transported by ambulance to the Enumclaw hospital and the officer stood by until a Buckley officer arrived to take control of the scene.

ACCIDENTAL SHOOTING: Staff at Enumclaw Regional Hospital called police the morning of June 13, reporting a patient with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The victim had been training with a search-and-rescue group and was at the Buck Creek Campground. The handgun apparently fell from a nightstand and discharged, grazing the victim in the thigh before leaving an entrance/exit wound in his ankle.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE: A white, older-model van with ladders on its roof circled Montgomery Park several times the afternoon of June 13. Eventually, the driver stopped and asked a female juvenile if she wanted to get in the van. Police searched the area and hunted around other parks as well, finding nothing.

MARIJUANA: A June 12 traffic stop near Griffin Avenue and Railroad Street resulted in the driver arrested and booked for possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. His vehicle was impounded.

PANHANDLING: An officer made contact June 12 with an individual who had been panhandling at a city gasoline station. The man was advised to stop.

FALSE ALARM: Police received muliple 911 calls shortly before 2 a.m. June 11 from KeyBank. Officers made contact with a security company and a search of the building’s interior determined that all was secure.

SENIOR ASSIST: Police received three calls the afternoon of June 11 regarding a man who fell down in the Porter Street vicinity. An officer located an older man who was suffering from exhaustion. Medical aid arrived, performed an evaluation and transported the man home.

KID TROUBLE: An Enumclaw mother contacted police June 11, relating troubles with her son’s behavior, especially after she found a small amount of marijuana. An officer discusses what options she might have to curb the son’s activity.

SEVERAL CHARGES: A late-night traffic stop June 11 on McHugh Avenue resulted in the driver being arrested for possession of both methamphetamine and marijuana. It was also learned the subject was wanted on multiple arrest warrants.
