FAMILY MATTER: A mother reported being assaulted by her 17-year-old daughter at 1:16 a.m. March 22. The daughter was taken into custody and booked for fourth-degree assault/domestic violence.

REUNITED: A woman called police at 1:47 a.m. March 22, reporting her young daughter was missing. While police were talking to the mother, a citizen called to report finding a child near state Route 410. Mother and daughter were reunited. The mother said another adult had been watching the child but fell asleep, allowing the girl to leave.

POTTY POSSUM: A citizen called police the morning of March 21 watching two men place something in a portable toilet at a Porter Street address. An officer responded and found a live possum. Appropriate calls were made and the porta-potty was placed out of service.

COUNTY CASE: Police were alerted at 9 p.m. March 21 to a possible case of driving under the influence. Before an officer could make contact, the vehicle was outside the city limits. King County authorities were alerted.

TEXTS UNWANTED: A woman told police March 21 she had been receiving harassing text messages. Police determined a man had been sending the texts, but the complainant had not told him to stop. The woman was advised to tell the man to halt the messaging.

ASSAULT: A Washington State Patrol trooper reported witnessing an assault in progress at 12:45 a.m. March 19 in the vicinity of Roosevelt Avenue and Watson Street. An officer responded and took a female into custody for fourth-degree assault/domestic violence.

SEVERAL INVOLVED: Police responded at 1:30 p.m. March 19 to a domestic dispute that involved several people and had turned physical. No weapons were involved and there were no injuries reported. A female was taken into custody for fourth-degree assault/domestic violence.

INTERRUPTED: An officer checked on a vehicle parked after closing hours March 19 at the city skate park. He interrupted a game of Truth or Dare and advised the couple to find a more appropriate place to play.

VOLUNTARY COMMIT: A male caller asked for help March 19 finding his estranged wife who had threatened to harm herself. Officers located the woman, who agreed to be committed to St. Elizabeth Hospital and was transported by ambulance.

VEHICLE THEFT: Enumclaw police assisted Black Diamond and Renton authorities who had been in pursuit of a stolen vehicle March 18. The vehicle was recovered about 2:40 a.m. that morning in Enumclaw and was impounded. The registered owner was advised of the situation and told how to retrieve his vehicle.

FAILED ATTEMPT: Police received a call at 1:40 a.m. March 18 from a Harding Street resident who said her husband had just stopped someone from taking their vehicle. The suspect fled on foot but was soon apprehended. It was determined the suspect had attempted to steal another vehicle in the area. It was also noted the suspect was wanted on arrest warrants issued by the state Department of Corrections and King County Sheriff’s Office.

ROAD RAGE: Police learned of a road rage incident that occurred at 6:40 p.m. March 18 in the vicinity of Porter Street and Lowell Avenue. The suspect vehicle was located on Griffin Avenue; the driver was soon found and taken into custody.

AGENCY ASSIST: City police received a request just after 8 p.m. March 18 from the Washington State Patrol to check on a vehicle in a ditch along state Route 410. The driver was found to have an arrest warrant issued by Buckley and was taken into custody. The scene was turned over to the WSP and a trooper transported the driver to the Buckley jail.
