Enumclaw police reports Oct. 3-6

OFFICE THEFT: Police were told Oct. 6 a Blackberry cell phone and $40 in cash were stolen from an open office. An Enumclaw Regional Hospital employee later contacted police with a video of a suspect.

VERBAL ASSAULT: At 2:30 a.m. Oct. 6, police learned of a woman driving a Volkswagen Jetta, following a man and yelling at him. The victim was advised of his options and given a ride to a relative’s home in Buckley.

AGGRESSIVE DOGS: A Wallace Avenue resident told police Oct. 6 there were two aggressive dogs on her property. An officer responded and found the animals too aggressive to be contained. King County Animal Control was notified and the dogs’ owner arrived on the scene the same time as the KCAC officer. The owner was issued a warning and returned the dogs to his home on Petschauer Place.

THEFT FROM AUTO: A Semanski Street resident reported Oct. 5 a vehicle had been broken into the night before. Taken were an Alpine compact disc player, two amplifiers and four speakers.

BIKE THEFT: Police contacted a subject on a bicycle at 1:50 a.m. Oct. 5. The person was taken into custody for theft of a bicycle and trespassing and later released to a parent.

VANDALISM: Owners of homes along the city/county boundary reported Oct. 4 being victimized by vandals. One homeowner reported seeing the same man cruise slowly through the area in two different vans. One license number was given to police for possible future reference.

FALSE REPORT: Police were told Oct. 4 of a domestic violence situation on Warner Avenue. A woman said a man hit her twice in the face and punched a hold in her bathroom wall. After police arrived, she admitted no assault had occurred and that she was simply trying to get the man in trouble. She was warned about false reporting and told she would be charged if she did it again.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY: A Garfield Street resident arrived home Oct. 4 to find his back door kicked in. A flat screen TV was missing. A neighbor saw someone at the house and was able to provide a statement.

HIT AND RUN: Police were told Oct. 3 of a hit and run incident and were able to find the suspect vehicle. The driver was taken into custody for driving under the influence and hit and run; his vehicle was impounded. A statement was obtained from a witness.
