Enumclaw Police search for alleged shooting suspect night of Dec. 10

The Enumclaw police were assisted by the King County Sheriff's Office Guardian 1 helicopter Dec. 10 at about 11:30 p.m. searching for a suspect(s) after gunshots were heard.

The Enumclaw police were assisted by the King County Sheriff’s Office Guardian 1 helicopter Dec. 10 at about 11:30 p.m. searching for a suspect(s) after gunshots were heard.

The following is a report from the Enumclaw Police Department concerning the incident.

2234 hrs 12/10/14 – Received report of gunshots by officer.

• An officer on patrol driving east on Griffin Avenue in the 1100 block heard what he believed to be two gun shots.

He looked down the alley and observed two people crouched down and then run from his direction. Believing shots had been fired toward the officer, additional backup police units were dispatched to assist. King County Sheriff’s Office Guardian 1 helicopter, Buckley PD, Black Diamond P, and Auburn PD K9 provided assistance.

A search of the area and K9 track was conducted with negative results. Further investigation determined the two people who ran from the area the officer was in were employees from a local business and ran after they heard the shots.  It is still unknown at this time who is responsible for the alleged gunshots.
