Eversole named top teacher

Enumclaw native Christina Eversole was named this year’s winner of the Outstanding Educator of the Year Award, given by Families for Effective Autism Treatment.

Enumclaw native Christina Eversole was named this year’s winner of the Outstanding Educator of the Year Award, given by Families for Effective Autism Treatment.

Now a teacher at Pacific Learning Center NW, she graduated from Enumclaw High School before earning a master’s degree in teaching with an endorsement in special education.

Eversole was nominated for the FEAT award by Hartley Steiner, whose son is in Eversole’s classroom at PLC, In her nomination letter, Steiner offered these words of praise: “She has proven to him that no matter how he behaves, she will be there for him. That no matter how many times he gives up on his work, she won’t give up on him.”

Pacific Learning Center is a private, special-purpose school in Lynnwood, Wash.
