ARREST WARRANT: An officer on patrol the evening of July 31 spotted a known subject on Griffin Avenue and a computer check confirmed the person was wanted on a felony arrest warrant for residential burglary. The individual was taken to the Enumclaw station and held until picked up by county authorities.

OWNER ASSAULTED: Police responded at 1:34 a.m. July 31 to a report of a large group of patrons who were refusing to leave a Roosevelt Avenue location. The group dispersed prior to police arrival. Further investigation revealed the owner had been assaulted and a suspect was on foot in the area; the suspect could not be located. One vehicle was impounded.

ONE ARRESTED: Police were alerted at 8:24 p.m. July 30 to an older model pickup in the vicinity of Charwila Lane and Harmony Lane; a caller said it appeared the truck’s occupants were casing the neighborhood. The truck was stopped and one person was taken into custody due to felony arrest warrants issued by Jefferson and Adams counties.

SUSPICIOUS: A Loraine Street resident called police at 1:28 a.m. July 30. She heard noises outside and saw someone shining a flashlight into the basement windows of a neighboring home. Officers checked the area but found nothing amiss.

WAKE UP: An officer contacted people sleeping inside a vehicle parked at the public libraryat 3:17 a.m. July 30. One was taken into custody for being a minor in possession of alcohol; the others were released so they could walk home and the vehicle was left legally parked.

BURGLARY: Police took a burglary report at 3:14 a.m. July 30. The report came from a Roosevelt Avenue address and detailed that $2,000 in cash and $90 in merchandise had been taken.

INJURY ACCIDENT: Police responded at 4:56 p.m. July 30 to Roosevelt Avenue and Semanski Street, the scene of a two-car crash. The wreck involved injuries and both vehicles had to be towed.
