East Pierce Firefighters are now clear the scene of a brush fire with exposure to a house, 12600 Block of 49th Street Court East, Sumner Heights area of Edgewood.

Crews were able to extinguish a stand of junipers that were throwing embers onto the neighboring homes roof and ensured the home did not burn.

This was caused by illegal fireworks. No injuries to civilians or firefighters.
