Firefighters launch Operation Santa | East Pierce Fire and Rescue

Santa Claus is a busy man, but he’s making time to stop by each of the East Pierce Fire and Rescue fire stations to join the firefighters in wishing the community a happy holiday. Instead of escorting Santa around the neighborhoods, the firefighters will host the jolly fellow at the various fire stations throughout the district.

The firefighters are excited to have guests at their stations. “You can have your picture taken with Santa and take a tour of your local fire station,” says East Pierce Firefighter James Parke. “We will have hot cocoa, apple cider and coffee, plus candy canes, of course.”

Parke says that the firefighters will be accepting donations of canned foods for the local food banks.

Santa, accompanied by his firefighter elves, will still be participating in area parades and making his annual rounds to area assisted living centers in December.
