Fled on bike | Bonney Lake Police Blotter

Officers were called to a shoplift on Sept. 23 where the subject had fled the scene on his bike. According to loss prevention, the male was detained after exiting the store without paying for merchandise. With the help of a customer, the subject was detained, but when he found out loss prevention was on the phone with the police, ran out of the store and escaped on his bike.

FLED ON BIKE: Officers were called to a shoplift on Sept. 23 where the subject had fled the scene on his bike. According to loss prevention, the male was detained after exiting the store without paying for merchandise. With the help of a customer, the subject was detained, but when he found out loss prevention was on the phone with the police, ran out of the store and escaped on his bike. Loss prevention at this time knew the man’s identity, and officers determined he already had a warrant for his arrest out of Puyallup. The man was cited for theft through the Bonney Lake Municipal Court.

THEFT OF GAS: On Sept. 26 officers were called to a report of gas theft. The manager explained to officers that an employee notified a suspicious male near the manager’s truck with a gas can. The manager approached the suspect, who got into his car and left the parking lot at a high rate of speed, although he was able to get a photo of the license plate of the getaway car.
