Four-day Creation 2010 runs through Saturday at Expo Center

Today is C-Day in Enumclaw – that’s a capital C, as in Creation 2010.

The huge Christian concert – which will occupy the entire Enumclaw Expo Center grounds today, Wednesday, through Saturday – will result in an additional 14,000 to 15,000 people in town each day.

Creation puts on two shows per year, one on the East Coast and one on the West Coast. After a dozen years at the Gorge Amphitheatre, Creation management shifted its operation to the Expo Center.

Organizers appreciate the easy access from points north and south, counting on improved single-day ticket sales.

Creation annual offers some of the top names in contemporary Christian music on its main stage; in addition, there will be a kid stage, worship stage and late-night stage. In addition to the headline acts, there will be opportunities for lesser-known bands to play. Organizers attempt to keep attendees entertained or spiritually motivated from morning until late at night.

The event is unlike anything Enumclaw has experienced for more than a decade. The event has been in the planning stages for seven months and has heavy involvement with the city of Enumclaw. While local roads are expected to be crowded at times, so are city grocery stores, restaurants and gas stations.
